WR. Washington. John Ross. 17. player. 54.

Carson Wentz has played very well during his first season under center for the Philadelphia Eagles, cementing his role as the team’s quarterback of the future. The Eagles traded way their first round pick in 2017 to grab Wentz at No. 2 in 2016, but they will pick in the first round thanks to the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings traded their pick to the Eagles for Sam Bradford prior to the 2016 regular season, and Philadelphia needs to get Wentz a weapon with it.

John Ross of the Washington Huskies is a stud wide receiver for the Pac-12 team that is currently slated to play in the College Football Playoff. He has teamed with quarterback Jake Browning to form arguably the best QB/WR duo in the conference, and will get to showcase his skills on the national level against Alabama in the CFP semifinals. Ross has been nearly impossible to cover this season, and has the explosiveness to turn quick-hitters into long touchdowns.

Philadelphia needs help on offense, as their current No. 1 weapon is the aging Darren Sproles. Jordan Matthews is a serviceable wide receiver, but he is more a WR2 than a WR1. Ross could come in and fit that top billing on the depth chart, while enabling the Eagles to really spread the field next season. The Eagles have some nice pieces in place, but the NFC East is tough, so grabbing a playmaker is going to be crucial next April.
