2017 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks rule all
By Brad Weiss
The combination of Teez Tabor and Quincy Wilson has been pretty dominant for the Florida Gators, who made it all the way to the SEC Championship this season. However, both men are likely to be headed to the NFL, with each being selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Tabor and Wilson are both going to be very good NFL cornerbacks, and it is going to be very difficult for the Gators to replace their production.
This past season, teams just did not throw Tabor’s way, as he lived up to his reputation of being a shutdown cornerback. The Seattle Seahawks could use another solid player at the position as they head into the 2017 season, and Tabor could be available late in the first round. Richard Sherman is still one of the best corners in the NFL, so bringing in a young guy to learn behind him would be a smart move by the organization.
Seattle is once again one of the best teams in the NFL, though they took a big hit two weeks ago when they lost Earl Thomas for the season. The lack of depth in secondary showed this past weekend, as Aaron Rodgers threw the ball all over the field. Thomas should be back healthy in 2017, and if they can add to their cornerback group, they should once again be a shutdown secondary against the pass.
