With a revamped roster, the New York Knicks have a real chance to win the Eastern Conference.

The NBA is a better place when the New York Knicks are relevant in the Eastern Conference. After bringing in a ton of new players for 2016-17, they look like they could actually be a contender.

With the additions of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee, and Brandon Jennings, New York currently is tied for third place in the East. They have a 14-11 record, including wins in six of their past eight games. The Knicks are one of the few teams to have two players averaging 20 points a game, Carmelo Anthony leads the team with 22.0 and Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 20.6 points per game.

First-year head coach Jeff Hornacek has his team headed in the right direction and has fixed the chemistry issues that once plagued the Knicks. Fans in New York have totally bought in and Madison Square Garden is alive again.

Although the Cavaliers are the odds-on favorite to win the East, stranger things have happened in the NBA.
