One of three new additions to the Big Ten, the Nebraska Cornhuskers bring a rich tradition of winning to a conference with multiple other programs in our top 10. Believe it or not, the Big Ten might be the most historically significant conference, in terms of all-time great programs, in the country.

The Cornhuskers were one of the most dominant teams in the 1990s. They won three national titles under Tom Osborne from 1993-97 and they were an incredible 60-3-0 during that time. Nebraska has five claimed national titles to its name, including those three, as well as nine unclaimed crowns.

Ranking second among active FBS programs on the all-time win list is also an impressive feat to go along with the 15th-best winning percentage in college football history.

How did this program get to this high of a ranking? All of those national titles, an epic fanbase that sells out darn near every game and 46 conference titles in school history. Those are the ingredients for an elite program. The Cornhuskers also have three Heisman winners (Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and Eric Crouch) to go along with 54 consensus All-Americans.

Nebraska ranks in the top five in all-time bowl appearances with 52, set to be 53 this season, and they have won 26 of them, ranking in the top seven in college football history. This program has a rich tradition filled with winning and postseason success.
