Will Darth Vader make an appearance in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? We have all the information you need to get you ready for the movie.

As the first of Disney’s standalone Star Wars films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will feature plenty of new faces.

The protagonist of the story, Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso, is new to audiences, as is the much of the supporting cast.

Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor, Donnie Yen’s Chirrut Imwe, Wen Jiang’s Baze Malbus, Riz Ahmed’s Bodhi Rook, Mads Mikkelsen’s Galen Erso and Alan Tudyk’s K-2S0 will all be appearing for the first time in a Star Wars movie.

Though Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera previously appeared on the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this will the character’s big screen debut.

Despite the new characters — which include the film’s antagonist, Ben Mendelsohn’s Orson Krennic — there will be a few familiar faces.

Jimmy Smits and Genevieve O’Reilly return as Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, respectively. However, the most notable addition to the cast is that of Darth Vader.

The iconic villain will appear in the film. Already, he has shown up in multiple trailers so far, two of which you can view below.

Based on his brief appearances in the pair of trailers, it is hard to judge just how much screen time Darth Vader will receive. However, his inclusion in the trailers suggest he’ll play some kind of role in the story.

Come opening day, it will certainly be interesting to see how the character is integrated into the overall plot of the film.

Gareth Edwards, who helmed previous films such as Godzilla and Monsters, directed the highly anticipated movie.
