Live stream and how to watch the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (4-5) at #20 Saint Mary’s (7-1) on television and online on Wednesday, December 14.
The #20 Saint Mary’s Gaels welcome the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers for a non conference match up in Moraga.
The Gaels slipped to #20 following their loss to University of Texas Arlington last Thursday. They were previously riding an undefeated season while enjoying a ranking that went as high as #12. They rallied back in their Sunday game against UC Irvine, winning the game with a resounding 84-53 decision. With one loss on the season, the Gaels are poised to move forward and continue their winning ways.
Western Kentucky’s record is under .500 but they just beat Indiana State 77-59. Indiana State is the same team that took down #15 Butler the game before. This tells you that anything can—and will—happen during college basketball season. Given their bubble record so far, that win against Indiana could be the fire the Hilltoppers need to start winning regularly. Earlier in the season they suffered a 39 point loss to Washington amid a four-game losing streak. Will they be able to use this win to bounce back and beat the Gaels?
Despite the loss on Thursday in a game that saw the Gaels scrambling to keep up with UTA’s scrappy defense, Jock Landale still leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game. That number has fallen a bit because Landale hasn’t scored more than 15 points in the last three games.

Saint Mary’s is the first team in the Top-25 that Western Kentucky will face this season. A win here will launch their season, but a loss for Saint Mary’s would likely knock them out of the Top-25 rankings.
