3. Russell Athletic Bowl (Miami vs. West Virginia)

Another one of those matchups that actually resembles a top-tier matchup will take place on Dec. 28 in Orlando, Fla., in the Russell Athletic Bowl. Miami and West Virginia were both top 10 teams at one point this season and each looked like a serious contender to win the ACC and Big 12, respectively.

Miami was 4-0, facing a tough matchup with Florida State at home and facing a potential jump in the rankings. However, the Hurricanes won their final four games, all by double figures, and finished the year just how they started it — on fire.

West Virginia had a slightly better season, going 6-0 before its first loss and then the Mountaineers went on to finish 10-2, just missing out on a Big 12 title. They will present a tough matchup for the Hurricanes, but it’ll be an even one.

The two sides will benefit and not just because West Virginia gets a trip to Florida and Miami essentially plays a home game, but both will be getting some awesome gift packages.
