Here’s how you can watch the Manhattan vs Florida State matchup from BB&T Center Saturday.
Coming off their biggest win of the season, the Florida State Seminoles improved to 10-1 and jumped to No. 23 in the AP rankings. Beating the Florida Gators, who were previously ranked 21st, was big for the Seminoles and they look like true ACC threats.
After losing to Temple, the Seminoles have won six straight and look like the team that everyone expected them to be. They’re averaging about 90 points per game, eighth in the country, and have racked up nearly 17 assists per contest.
Dwayne Bacon has risen to the top of the team in terms of leading and scoring, averaging 17.3 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting over 50 percent from the floor. Jonathan Isaac is averaging 14.4 points and 7.1 rebounds.
Manhattan, on the other hand, is just 3-7 on the year with five double-digit defeats to its name already. Things aren’t looking great for the Jaspers who were back-to-back conference champs in 2014-15.
If the Jaspers had a strength this season, it would probably be their rebounding, which averages nearly 40 boards per game. However, the offense has been poor, averaging just 73 points and shooting 42 percent from the floor.
Junior guard Zavier Turner has been the leading scorer through 10 games and looks to continue that trend for the remainder of the year. He’s averaging 17 points per game while drilling 45 percent of his threes. Keep an eye on Zane Waterman as well.
