Poinsettia Bowl (Wednesday 12/21, 9:00 pm ET) – BYU (-9) over Wyoming

I don’t like favorites. We all know this. Still, this is a Wyoming team that has not performed very well away from its home stadium this season (only two road wins and some bad losses) and the Cowboys are also the inferior team in this spot. BYU will be a public side and that scares me, but look for an offense that averaged 30 points per game this season to do enough to win by double-figures.

Poinsettia Bowl (Wednesday 12/21, 9:00 pm ET) – BYU and Wyoming OVER 56.5 points

Two picks from San Diego! Wyoming is bad defensively. The Cowboys rank outside the top 100 defensively according to S&P+ and Wyoming has allowed at least 26 points in eight consecutive games. Most of those contests came against teams with inferior offenses to BYU and I think the Cougars dial up a big number. To be fair, Wyoming can also score, but that only helps us here and I’m going against every principal in my life to take a favorite and an over.
