Idaho Potato Bowl (Thursday 12/22, 7:00 pm ET) – Colorado State (-13.5) over Idaho

Another favorite. I promise you that I am uncomfortable, but I don’t understand this line. The Vandals have won six of seven and that is probably the reason this is less than a two-touchdown spread, but in same breath, Colorado State is a top-25 team according to multiple projection systems. Mike Bobo and his crew aren’t really on the national radar, but I don’t think Idaho is very good and Colorado State should be able to score 40-plus on the way to a front-door cover in this spot.

Bahamas Bowl (Friday 12/23, 1:00 pm ET) – Old Dominion (-4) over Eastern Michigan

Eastern Michigan is one of the better stories of the year but Old Dominion is just better. Solidly better, at that. ODU has racked up five consecutive victories while dominating on the offensive side of the ball and, frankly, I don’t think EMU can get enough stops to stay close. This number might climb before kickoff so jump on early if you like it, but it is the only way that I can go in a (very) weird Friday afternoon slot.
