Here’s how you can watch Wednesday’s Norfolk State vs Purdue game from West Lafayette online.
Purdue has put together a solid start to its 2016-17 season, posting a 10-2 record through the first two months and Wednesday’s matchup with Norfolk State marks the final non-conference game of the year.
The Boilermakers’ only losses have been to No. 3 Villanova and No. 14 Louisville and each was by single digits. This team looks to be a favorite to win the Big Ten this season, especially if Caleb Swanigan continues to play well.
Swanigan, a sophomore big man, is averaging a team-high 17.2 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Fellow big man Isaac Haas needs to improve on his rebounding, but he’s putting up 14.3 points per contest.
Norfolk State raced out to a 2-1 start to the season with a slim, four-point loss to Mississippi State in the opener and it looked like the Spartans were in for a surprising year. However, they have since lost eight of nine games to drop to 3-9.
They’ve had two quality opponents during this rough stretch — Butler and Vanderbilt — and still can’t seem to put together a win streak. The poor offensive game has been a reason for the struggles though 12 games, though.
Senior guard Jonathan Wade is the only player on the team averaging in double figures, putting up 20 points per game. He’s also shooting 47 percent from the floor and 40 percent from three-point range.
