What a disappointing year it has been for the New York Jets, whom many believed would challenge for a playoff spot this season. However, there have been questions about the quarterback position all season long, and the veterans on both sides of the ball have not played up to their ability. There may have to be wholesale changes on this roster moving forward, and it remains to be seen whether or not they will retain head coach Todd Bowles.

The defense was supposed to lead the way for the Jets this season, as veterans like David Harris and Darrelle Revis dotted the starting lineup. Well, Revis has looked very old, and despite solid play, Harris is nearing the end of his career as well. They need to inject some new blood into the unit, and bringing on someone like Jabrill Peppers will do just that.

Peppers has already declared for the NFL Draft, and it would be something if he could head home to New Jersey. The East Orange native won the Paul Hornung Award as the Most Versatile Player in college football, and the Jets need a player that can fill a few roles. He can play linebacker, safety and be present in the return game, which would make him a certain fan favorite inside MetLife Stadium.
