High Value C

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (5,500): As one of the broadcasters said in Wednesday night’s game against the Mavericks, “Good things happen when Plumlee touches the ball.” The big man is one of the best passing centers in the game, dos good work not he glass, and almost always scored at least in double-digits. He had a career game against the Kings on Tuesday with 27-13-5 for 57.75 fantasy points and had a solid 27.25 fantasy points the next night against the Mavericks who are very good at defending the paint. Plumlee has over 33 fantasy points in four of his last six games with the two exceptions being a game on the road in Golden State that was a blowout and that game against Dallas. He should be able to bounce back with 30+ tonight against the Spurs who have been good against opposing center this season but have slipped a bit lately and were beaten up last night by Marreese Speights.∗∗

Jahlil Okafor-Philadelphia 76ers (5,300): He isn’t getting the buzz that Embiid is getting, but the other Sixers big man is playing well since rejoining the lineup and Okafor now has at least 23 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games. He had a pair of games during that stretch with over 30 fantasy points, and he could be in for a nice night in Phoenix as the Sixers take on the Suns. He and Embiid seem to be learning to share the court, so look  for Okafor to continue to be a good value at under 6K.∗∗

Tristan Thompson-Cleveland Cavaliers (5,200): Thompson has been a beast down low in his last few games posting 10-12-0 for 29.5 fantasy points against the Bucks on Tuesday and an even better 5-15-1 with four blocks for 32.75 fantasy points on Wednesday. He’s low-risk against the Nets tonight but he also has a  fairly low ceiling with so many other scoring options ahead of him in Cleveland’s rotation.∗∗

Nene Hilario-Houston Rockets (3,800): If your other lineup decisions have left you short on salary at center, Hilario can be used as he fills in for Clint Capela in tandem with Montrezl Harrell. Hilario has 23.25 and 18 fantasy points in his last two games playing 18 minutes per contests. Since those games were back-to-back and the Rockets don’t play again until Monday he could get some extra time on the floor tonight if he’s effective on both ends against Memphis.∗∗
