The NBA and NFL take center stage on Christmas Day, but on Monday, we are back to our bowl games! The next game up on Monday is the Quick Lane Bowl!

Maryland(-1.5) vs. Boston College at Detroit, MI(4):
Maryland(6-6, 3-6 Big Ten):
Wins: vs. Howard(52-13), at Florida International(41-14), at Central Florida(30-24), vs. Purdue(50-7), vs. Michigan State(28-17), vs. Rutgers(31-13)
Losses: at Penn State(14-38), vs. Minnesota(10-31), at Indiana(36-42), at Michigan(3-59), vs. Ohio State(3-62), at Nebraska(7-28)
Record vs. bowl teams: 1-6
The injury to quarterback Peyton Hills corresponded with a conference season slide for the Terrapins. Hills will be back for the bowl game, so can Maryland return to early season form? Maryland’s defense was better this year than last year, but they still struggled with good offenses. They didn’t get one of those in the bowl game.
Boston College(6-6, 2-6 ACC):
Wins: at Massachusetts(26-7), vs. Wagner(42-10), vs. Buffalo(35-3), at North Carolina State(21-14), vs. Connecticut(30-0), at Wake Forest(17-14)
Losses: vs. Georgia Tech(14-17), at Virginia Tech(0-49), vs. Clemson(10-56), vs. Syracuse(20-28), vs. Louisville(7-52), at Florida State(7-45)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-5
Kentucky transfer Patrick Towles has led the Boston College offense, but this offense is far from a well oiled machine. The Boston College defense was good until they met the high-powered offenses of the ACC. Will the high powered Maryland offense give the Eagles issues?
Prediction:
We have an old ACC clash on our hands here. We also have two bowl games pitting former Big 12 foes against each other. This is a matchup of offense against defense. Usually good defense wins, but this could be the exception. There has been a lot of action on this game, causing the line to flop back and forth. It has never gone more than two points in favor of either team. That would suggest a close game, which I think this will be. However, Maryland will be at full strength for the first time since late September. That means something, right?
Pick: Maryland
