Following a sudden hospital visit last night, Jets head coach Todd Bowles will be on the sidelines against the Patriots.

After suddenly visiting the hospital Friday night prior to the New York Jets’ Christmas Eve game, it turns out head coach Todd Bowles will be good to go for Saturday. The head coach experienced chest pains and vomiting last night before receiving medical attention and the Jets labeled Bowles’ condition as an “undisclosed illness.”

The leader of Gang Green has been cleared by team doctors and rejoined the squad.  It is unknown whether Bowles will coach from the booth or sideline come this afternoon. Mike Caldwell, New York’s assistant head coach, was prepared to be the fill in guy in case Bowles wasn’t cleared. He ran the Jets walk-through practice on Friday.

The Jets of course have nothing to play for but pride, but maybe the team will rally around their head coach. New York already always gives New England its best, so this could potentially be a much-needed jolt.

This team could be playing for their coach’s job the next two weeks. Rumors have circulated that Bowles could be on the hot seat after his second season with the team. After nearly making the playoffs last season with a 10-6 mark, the Jets have had nothing short of a brutal 2016 season. Although it may seem too soon to call for Bowles’ job, we have all learned that there are no surprises when it comes to the NFL.

Health concerns of head coaches has been a pattern this season, but luckily everyone has been okay. For Bowles, he suffered another medical complication back in February of this year. The procedure dealt with removing a benign mass from his throat. We wish coach the best of health this holiday season.
