Texas Bowl (Dec. 28, 9:00 pm ET) – Kansas State (+3) over Texas A&M
If Texas A&M plays its “A”-game here, we’re probably in trouble. I understand that and you should, too. However, Kansas State has the better head coach (I’ll always ride with Bill Snyder) and the team that is much more likely to care about the outcome of this game. It may not be pretty, but that is exactly how the Wildcats like it and you will notice that K-State is one of my favorite teams to back. There’s a reason for that.
Birmingham Bowl (Dec. 29, 2:00 pm ET) – South Carolina (+10) over South Florida
This line will undoubtedly shock people, simply because it is a Group Of Five team laying double figures (!) against a SEC opponent. Make no mistake, the right team is favored. South Florida is better than South Carolina but the Gamecocks should be ready to roll here and have played better football in recent days. Give me the underdog.
Next: Belk Bowl and Sun Bowl
