Hull welcome Manchester City to the KCOM Stadium on Monday, December 26. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Hull host Manchester City in the late kick-off on Boxing Day. The Tigers are rock bottom of the Premier League and have only won one of their last ten league matches. If they do not turn their form around soon they will not be playing Premier League football next year.
A visit from Manchester City is not exactly what Mike Phelan’s side needs, though. Manchester City hit a bit of a purple patch with disappointing defeats to Leicester and Chelsea. However, they have recovered by beating Watford and Arsenal to re-establish their title credentials.
Although it was more of a gritty performance than one full of good football, Manchester City will take a lot of confidence from their win over Arsenal. The Light Blues came back from a 1-0 deficit to beat one of the best teams in the league. Whether they had won their last game or not they will have expected to take all three points at Hull.
The Tigers have been impressive in some games this season but their defense is too much of a liability. Mike Phelan’s side will have felt aggrieved not to have taken all three points at West Ham after a controversial penalty was the deciding factor in a game which they dominated. They will put up a good fight but Manchester City should be too strong for the Tigers.
