Richard Jefferson provided one of the more memorable moments of the Cavaliers’ win on Sunday, and LeBron had some fun with it
In one of the more remarkable Christmas Day NBA games that we have seen in quite some time, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in their NBA Finals rematch, 109-108.
Now in the win, aging star Richard Jefferson only dropped in eight points, but two of those eight points provided us with a moment that we soon won’t forget. In the second half of this one, Jefferson drove to the hoop and threw down one of the more vicious poster dunks that we have seen this season, and he made one of the brightest young stars in the game in Klay Thompson look foolish in the process.
Well, on Monday, his teammate LeBron James took to Instagram to commemorate the moment, but also troll his friend in the process.
Now, of course, we all know that Jefferson is not, in fact, 95 years old. However, we all know where LeBron is coming from here, as it does seem a lot of times that Jefferson has been a staple in the league for about the last 20 years. When you hear his name called when he checks into the contest off the bench, you tend to find yourself from time to time searching just how long he has been around.

Still, though, even for 36 and for as long as he has been in the NBA, that dunk was indeed one of the more impressive feats that we have seen all season. Now you can see why this team loves having him around and they wanted him to stick around for at least one more season after he teased a retirement following that title run last year.
