Everton travel to Leicester looking for their first away win in over three months. The Toffees haven’t won away since beating Sunderland 3-0 on Sept. 12.
Things started well for Everton, who won their first two away games of the season. They have only one lonely draw to show from the last six away fixtures. That’s one point from a possible 18, a record that would concern even the most inept relegation teams.
The Toffees have been outscored 13-4 in that six-game span. Coming off a first home loss last week against Liverpool in heartbreaking fashion, the Toffees will do everything in their power to get back on the winning track.
Leicester won their last home match by impressively, and comprehensively, beating Manchester City 4-2. Jamie Vardy scored his first ever Premier League hat trick and the Foxes showed glimpses of their title-winning year in 2015-16. They’ve come crashing down to Earth since, though, losing to Bournemouth and drawing with Stoke. Both of those matches came away from the King Power Stadium.
Leicester have lost only one game so far this season at home, which came against West Brom in early November.
Claudio Ranieri has many selection concerns ahead of the Everton match, as Robert Huth, Christian Fuchs and Vardy will all miss the match through suspension. Danny Drinkwater will face a late fitness test but is expected not to feature.
James McCarthy and Maarten Stekelenburg will both miss the match due to the injuries they suffered in the Merseyside Derby.
