Keys to Victory
Nebraska comes into this game with a major question mark. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong’s health is in question and whether or not he plays will be a deciding factor. If he can go, it will open up the offense more for the team and they can play more comfortably.
If he can’t go, then expect a heavy dose of Terrell Newby. The Volunteers haven’t been the best team against the run this year and Newby should be pretty fresh, considering his team has kept his touches low on the ground throughout the year.
Joshua Dobbs is going to try and make plays to lead his team to victory. If any Tennessee game has taught us anything, it’s that Dobbs ultimately determines whether or not his team comes away with the win. He has to limit the turnovers and find his teammates down the field.
Prediction
This season has proven that Nebraska is tough as nails on both ends of the football and the Volunteers like to play a lot of close games with remarkable finishes. The health of Armstrong is a big tipping point in this one and Dobbs will just edge out the Cornhuskers in a classic.
Pick: Tennessee 24, Nebraska 23
