It looked as if Virginia Tech was done for in the Belk Bowl. Well, they showed everyone that they weren’t dead yet.

Everyone was certain at halftime of the Belk Bowl that the Virginia Tech Hokies were completely done for. Bret Bielema and his Razorbacks squad took a 24-0 lead into the break, seemingly putting this one out of the reach of their ACC foe.

Well, that turned out to not be the case at all, as the ACC Coastal champs came out in the second half like a ball of fire, and they ultimately took the lead.

First, there was this Jerod Evans scoring run following a turnover.

Then from there, Sam Rogers made this incredible one-handed catch to cut the lead to 24-14 following yet another Arkansas turnover.

The Hokies weren’t done just yet, as this Chris Cunningham reception made the Belk Bowl a 24-21 affair.

And finally, this Travon McMillan run gave the Hokies the lead, something that we were pretty much all convinced that we would not see here on Thursday night.

The Belk Bowl tends to constantly deliver, and this year is apparently no different. This was a game at one point that everyone was ready to throw the towel in on — well, everyone except the Hokies apparently.

But, this is yet another great example of why we love bowl season so much. No, these games might not matter to most people, but you can’t deny the fact that they provide some of the best excitement of the season. The Belk Bowl on Thursday night is one of the wildest outings of 2016.

Now, with the fourth quarter here, it’s time to see if Virginia Tech can hold on for the amazing comeback win, propelling the Coastal champs into next season with a lot of momentum.
