During the Music City Bowl between the Tennessee Volunteers and Nebraska Cornhuskers, some fans decided to get into a nasty altercation in the stands.

Two historical football programs faced off against each other today in the classic Music City Bowl Game. Vols quarterback Joshua Dobbs led the way, as he completed 23 of 38 passes for 291 yards to go along with a throwing touchdown, but what was even more impressive was Dobbs’ ability to be a ball carrier. He rushed 11 times for 118 yards with three touchdowns on the ground.

Unfortunately, the Volunteers’ win will be a bit overshadowed because of what happened in the stands during the contest. We’re not sure what exactly started this altercation, but the video below is a bit disturbing, to say the least.

One must assume alcohol was the root of this fight in the stands. Often times, football fans can be known for being obnoxious and rowdy, which is understandable considering the sport is one of the most physical ones known to mankind.

With that being said, there’s no room for fighting amongst fans. First of all, there are children who attend these games and such acts set a poor example for the next generation of citizens.

To prevent fan fights in the future, there needs to be more security around at all times. When watching this video, you wonder where were the security officers or policemen at?

It seems like every weekend, whether it’s college football or professional football, you see a fan fight going viral on social media. This is a sickening trend that absolutely needs to come to an end sooner rather than later. The sport of football is too good to be getting overshadowed by ruthless and careless fans in the stands week in and week out.
