Clemson Tigers running back C.J. Fuller makes a difficult grab on a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Deshaun Watson in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl.
The Clemson Tigers were already up 10-0 on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2016 Playstation Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. However, the Tigers offense was largely stagnant in the first half.
Shortly before halftime, Heisman finalist quarterback Deshaun Watson would rifle a dime to the front left pylon of the Ohio State end zone. Clemson running back C.J. Fuller was definitely interfered with, but still managed to come up with the incredible touchdown reception.
Watson is no doubt going to be a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has previously said he will forgo his senior year at Clemson to enter the draft. Watson has already graduated from Clemson and will be one of three potential franchise quarterbacks to enter the draft along with Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer and North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky who is expected to declare for the Draft.
Clemson’s offense in 2016 has been known for its ability to stretch the field. The Tigers have another first-round talent in wide receiver Mike Williams. Wayne Gallman has been more than solid in the backfield, but it was Fuller that made the most impressive play of the first half of the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.
Clemson took a commanding 17-0 lead over the Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl. The winner of this game will play the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2016 National Championship. Kickoff will be on Monday, Jan. 9 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Should Clemson defeat Ohio State, the Tigers would face the Crimson Tide in a rematch of the 2015 National Championship. Watson shined in that national title, but Alabama’s special teams were the difference in that ball game. Unless Clemson collapses, expect a rematch in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
