Bournemouth were Chelsea’s latest victims as they tear through the Premier League. The Blues dismantled Bournemouth 3-0 on Boxing Day behind goals from Pedro and Eden Hazard (it was his 50th league goal). It feels like Chelsea haven’t lost in the last three seasons. They are currently enjoying a six-point lead over Liverpool atop the table. No one wants to face the leaders at the moment.
Stoke City, unfortunately for them, have to travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. They were throttled by Liverpool on Tuesday, 4-1. The Potters have only won one league match in their last five tries and sit 13th in the table on 21 points. On the bright side, they only trail 8th-place Southampton by three points.
It seems likely, however, that Stoke will have to wait before trying to close that gap due to the fact that Chelsea are an uncaring factory of destruction right now.
