Week 17 of the 2016 NFL season will feature a rivalry match between the New York Giants and Washington Redskins. Here are the latest highlights and score updates.

In Week 17, the Washington Redskins will host the New York Giants at FedEx Field. Should they get a win, only a tie between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions would keep them out of the postseason. The Giants will be playing for playoff position and they’ll also be trying to keep their NFC East rival out of the postseason.

New York will look to stop a red hot Washington offense. They will look to do so behind a defense that allows merely 18.3 points per game, the third fewest in the NFL. New York allows 91.9 rushing yards a game, the seventh fewest in the league. Meanwhile, their offense is struggling a bit, as they score just 19.4 points per game, 25th in the NFL.

On the other side of the field, the Washington Redskins will turn to quarterback Kirk Cousins and their impressive aerial attack. They average 300.8 passing yards a game, ranking second in the NFL. However, they also allow over 380 total yards per game, which is 29th in the league.

Highlights

*Highlights of the game will be updated periodically*

Three Stars

  1. Kirk Cousins: Cousins should have a great day against a Giants secondary that allows 251.5 yards per game, ranking 22nd in the NFL. He’s looking to put an end to a wonderful season, one which could get him a long-term contract.
  2. Eli Manning: Look for Eli Manning to come out strong in this game. He always plays his best football in the postseason, as he is well known for being the lone quarterback to beat Tom Brady in a Super Bowl.
  3. DeSean Jackson: Everyone knows DeSean Jackson has had this date circled on his calendar. He’s been a very dangerous threat as of late.

Next Week

Though the Giants’ first round opponent is not yet known, they will be playing. Washington must wait and see if they can make the playoffs.
