With the NFL regular season wrapped up, let’s break down what the first round of the NFL draft could look like.

While some NFL teams and their respective fan bases are gearing up for the playoffs, others will be staying at home and getting ready for the 2017 NFL draft.

For teams looking for running backs, edge rushers, defensive backs or even tight ends, this is a great draft class to add some legitimate pieces to begin rebuilding or making a Super Bowl run. On the other hand, teams looking for a new quarterback might be disappointed if they aren’t able to land one of the top handful of prospects.

Although the NFL draft is still a few months away, let’s break down a complete mock draft for the entire first round.

Myles Garrett

EDGE, Texas A&M

It was a season to forget for the Cleveland Browns, but on the bright side, this franchise will have a ton of draft picks to work with, including two in the first round. With the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, the Browns can focus less on finding another quarterback and more on finding a guy who can make an immediate impact.

Cleveland is reportedly enamored with Texas A&M edge rusher Myles Garrett, and it’s easy to see why. Garrett comes in at an intimidating 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds with a rare combination of size, speed, strength and explosiveness.

Garrett’s technique is still developing, but he’s shown flashes of serious potential throughout the year. He might not be the most consistent prospect in this class, but there’s no denying that he has easily the most upside.
