A high-powered Western Michigan offense faces an extremely stout Wisconsin defense. Here’s how to watch the Cotton Bowl online.

The New Years Six continues with lots of intriguing games left. Fans will hope the remaining bowl games are more like the Orange Bowl instead of the two College Football Playoff semifinals. The Cotton Bowl promises to be an intriguing matchup between two teams that play to their strengths.

Western Michigan has been nothing short of outstanding this season, but even though they’re 13-0, the MAC isn’t a highly regarded conference. That’s why they could do no better than 15 in the eyes of the playoff committee, but they’ve got one of the best offenses in the country. Corey Davis set an FBS record in terms of receiving yards, but the guy throwing it to him isn’t too shabby. Zach Terrell has 32 touchdowns to just three interceptions on the year.

Wisconsin isn’t terrible on offense — they have one of the best running backs in the Big Ten in Corey Clement — but it’s their defense that wins them games. In Vince Biegel and T.J. Watt, they have one of the best linebacker duos in the country, and their secondary consists of ball hawks that can cover any receiver thrown at them. However, it was their offense that cost them the Big Ten Championship, and there will be questions as to how they’ll respond to that crushing loss.

This game will be on ESPN, which means the best way to watch it is through their streaming service, WatchESPN. It can easily be accessed on computers and mobile devices, but you’ll have to log in through your mobile devices.

Wisconsin’s the early favorite, but nobody wants to see this Western Michigan story end. They’ll certainly make for a much more beloved undefeated team than Alabama.
