DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,200): Cousins was the centerpiece of many lineups last night including mine here in my FanDuel daily picks. Cousins had a solid but not spectacular 49.2 fantasy points against Denver on 31-6-6 with a block. He has at least 47 fantasy points in five in a row and six of his last seven. He should be in a great matchup tonight, though, against the Heat who are short on big bodies without Hassan Whiteside. Cousins’ best games usually come at home where he gets a few extra minutes of playing time. Since Sacramento should be able to try and pick up a pair of wins in their back-to-back look for him to carry the load again tonight as the Kings welcome in Miami.∗∗∗∗
Dwight Howard-Atlanta Hawks (7,700): Howard is back in Orlando tonight as the Hawks visit the Magic. He had 20-16-1 for 37.7 fantasy points in the team’s last meeting, but he didn’t have to deal with the Orlando fans in that contest who usually do all they can to take Dwight out of his game. He looked great for much of December, but Howard finished with a lackluster 31.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Friday of last week and only managed 15.9 fantasy points in a tough matchup with the Spurs on New Year’s Day. Hopefully, Howard’s revenge game will motivate him to go off for a big number against the Magic tonight making him a high-risk, high-reward option at this price.∗∗
Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,000): Vucevic is also a little risky tonight, but because he is coming off the bench not at all because of his recent form. Vucevic has at least 37 fantasy points in three straight games and has been a huge contributor in Orlando’s second unit. He ended up with 14-13-5 for 39.1 fantasy points on Monday against the Knicks and can fill up his stat sheet very quickly when he gets then chance. He missed the last meeting between these two teams due to injury.∗∗∗
