The Cowboys rookie phenom recently revealed what Tony Romo texted him once the job was his.
In professional sports, you will be hard pressed to find players and coaches who aren’t solely concerned about themselves. Large amounts of money can do that sort of a thing. With this in mind, it is refreshing to see stories about athletes being great teammates. Dallas Cowboys rookie QB Dak Prescott just gave us insight on the type of teammate Tony Romo has been this season.
On SportsMedia’s Inside the Huddle, Prescott had the following to say regarding Romo: “You got Tony, he’s texting me like ‘I believe in you. You’re the type of guy I pull for.’ So it just makes me feel comfortable, just to go each and every day and be myself.”
From what we have heard this season out of Dallas, Romo has been nothing but supportive.

For any athlete who loses their spot due to injury, it is never an easy thing to go through. Although #9 has been a solid quarterback throughout his career, there was no way Dallas could go away from Prescott’s hot hand. Romo managed this unfortunate situation with true class. It would be criminal if Jerry Jones did not show him the same class this offseason, most likely finding him a new home. In a showcase drive last Sunday in Philadelphia, Romo was red hot. He led the Cowboys right down the field and capped off the drive with a touchdown.
