Davis had just two receiving touchdowns during the 2016 regular season. However, his third touchdown of the season and his first of the playoffs gives the Dukes a two-score lead over Youngstown. It’s Davis’s seventh overall touchdown of the year, as he has four punt return touchdowns as well.
The 5’9″ wide receiver is a senior, so he clearly saved his best for his last game. Davis will most likely not be selected in the NFL Draft. However, some teams could find his ability to make plays on special teams to be intriguing enough to sign him as an undrafted free agent. Davis has at times resembled a slightly less skilled Devin Hester. At any given time, he’s the fastest player on the field. It’s amazing how good Davis is at returning punts considering this is the first season he has been a full-time punt returner. He has 14 punt returns this season after just having six combined his first three seasons.
