With some NBA action to be played on Sunday night, FanSided provides you with some daily FanDuel picks for January 8.

Although there are eight total NBA games on Sunday, the real action doesn’t begin until the evening. FanDuel has some big contests lined up for the five-game evening slate on January 8th, so now is as good of a time as any to set a lineup.

Zachary Thompson is out this weekend, but I’m here to provide you with some quality players at each position, whether they’re high salary or high value guys. There are a ton of interesting options, so we’ll look at a bunch of them.

High Salary PG

Damian Lillard (9,100): Lillard missed five straight games with a sprained ankle, but he was able to return to play on Thursday against the Lakers. He looked just fine in his return to action, putting up 21 points and 10 assists in 36 minutes of play for 40 FanDuel points (FDPs). He should have no problems putting up another solid outing against the Pistons. ***

Kyrie Irving (8,900): It has been an incredible season for Kyrie Irving, who is having a career year as Cleveland’s starting point guard. He’ll have the opportunity to get plenty of touches in tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns. They’re an extremely up-tempo team, which means there will be plenty of possessions for Irving to make plays. ****

D’Angelo Russell (6,800): In just his second season in the league, D’Angelo Russell is starting to hit his stride. He’s been playing well as of late with four straight games with at least 30 FDPs. The Orlando Magic don’t exactly have an elite backcourt, which means that Russell could have a chance to extend that streak, although I don’t think he has the upside of Lillard or Irving. **
