Chatter has surfaced that Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey might return to his Green Bay roots this offseason.
When something or someone is successful, others want a piece of it. Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey has been just that, and as a result, he could be on the move.
Specifically, Dorsey could be heading back to Green Bay where he has a history, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. KC’s current GM played for the Packers in the mid 80s and was the former Director of College Scouting within the organization for years.
The speculation is that current Packers general manager Ted Thompson could be retiring soon. This would open the door for Dorsey to return home, as he is in the final year of his contract.

If you’re the Kansas City Chiefs, you have to find away to retain Dorsey. He, along with Andy Reid, has brought this franchise back to prominence. Reports have surfaced that Reid’s contract will be extended in the offseason, but something needs to get done for Dorsey.
The talent he has acquired and built since 2013 has been among the league’s best. He has found some true gems in the last few drafts, including Travis Kelce, Marcus Peters, and Tyreek Hill.
While Andy Reid has also been nothing short of spectacular, Dorsey has provided Reid with the tools to succeed. This man is a valuable commodity that the Chiefs need to hold on to. If not, it could lead to the organization taking a step back.

Since 2013, Dorsey and Reid have compiled a 43-21 record in the regular season. They have reached the playoffs in three out of four seasons, and brought the Chiefs a playoff victory last year for the first time since 1994. Before these two arrived, Kansas City was the laughing stock of the NFL. Thanks to these two men, they find themselves currently competing for a Super Bowl.
