This is a rematch of the 2015 College Football National Championship Game that saw No. 2 Alabama defeat No. 1 Clemson 45-40 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale back on January 12, 2016. Clemson was undefeated up to that point, while Alabama’s only loss was to the SEC West rival Ole Miss Rebels in conference play.
