High Salary PG
Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (12,400): Westbrook finished 2016 with a few down games, but the new year has treated the Thunder PG right and he rolls into tonight’s matchup in Chicago coming off of three straight games of over 65 fantasy points. He had 32-17-11 (points-rebounds-assists) on Saturday against the Nuggets for 69.9 fantasy points in his last game after 65 against Charlotte and 65.1 against Houston earlier in the week. Tonight, he’ll face the Bulls in Chicago who have given up more fantasy points to opposing PG in their last five games than any other team in the NBA. They have moved into the top ten in PG fantasy points allowed for the season, so Westbrook should be ready to pile up more fantasy points tonight. If you’re going to have one star in your lineup tonight, he is the top target in today’s FanDuel daily picks.∗∗∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,900): The team that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing PG over their last five games is the Knicks who Jrue Holiday takes on tonight at Madison Square Garden. Holiday’s production has been down a bit over his last few games with just 24.7 fantasy points and 25.9 fantasy points against the Hawks and Celtics. He had over 31 fantasy points in four of his previous five games, though, so there is potential that he’ll be able to take advantage of this matchup and rise to the occasion tonight. Aside from Westbrook, he’s really the only high-salary PG option that I like on tonight’s limited slate which only drives up Westbrook’s value due to position scarcity. ∗∗
