Kirk Cousins is in awe of 10th grade Bo Scarbrough

During the National Championship game, a photo of Bo Scarbrough in Grade 10 blew up. Among those who weighed in: Kirk Cousins.

Through the first half of the National Championship Game, Bo Scarbrough was dominating the game for Alabama. The two sides may only be separated by a touchdown, but Scarbrough is responsible for all of the Crimson Tide’s touchdowns.

Just like with O.J. Howard last year, Bo Scarbrough didn’t emerge as a key player until the Playoff, which only makes Alabama’s 13-0 season even more impressive. However, anyone who knew him in high school knew he would dominate at the collegiate level. While he was stealing the spotlight on the national stage, a picture of Bo was tweeted out, and as expected, it went viral:

Everyone had their fair share of awesome takes, but none was better than Kirk Cousins’, who’s probably lamenting the fact that he couldn’t get a chance to win a National Championship with Alabama:

Of course, the reason why Cousins is so beloved by his teammates and fans is his awesome sense of humor. He’s never one to shy away from poking fun at himself, and this is no exception. And clearly, it looks like Cousins has started a new version of “you versus the guy she tells you not to worry about”:

Kirk Cousins still had a great college career at Michigan State, and has looked even better at the NFL level. Even though Cousins dwarfs Bo Scarbrough in terms of his physical condition, Bo will no doubt want to achieve the same level of success at the professional level as Cousins.

As for the Tide, they are notorious for recruiting people well before they’re supposed to. They probably saw this picture of Scarbrough and scooped him up early knowing he’d be a beast. He was waiting in the wings while Derrick Henry won the Heisman, and next year, Najee Harris will be sitting behind Scarbrough while he tries to take his game to the next level.
