Lee Corso made his final headgear pick ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship game between Clemson and Alabama.

After Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship game, fans will say goodbye to one of the legends of the sport. As a broadcaster, personality, and previously as a coach, Lee Corso is synonymous with college football. While on ESPN’s College GameDay, he’s become famous for his hilarious antics. More specifically, the man they call “Coach” on the set has become famous for his headgear picks.

So it only stood to reason that, as Corso was a part of the pre-game coverage in Tampa, FL for the title game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers, that he would make a headgear pick once more.

Coming into the huge matchup, a rematch from a season ago, the Crimson Tide were the favorites by about a touchdown. However, the Tigers had started to gain some upset buzz leading up to kickoff from people thinking that maybe Dabo Swinney’s group would get things right this time around. Corso wasn’t swayed by the late action, though. When it came down to making his final headgear pick, he pulled out the giant elephant head and was ready for everyone to shout “Roll Tide:”

This shouldn’t be shocking if you’ve watched Corso over the years on GameDay. After all, he’s never been shy of taking favorites and, subsequently because of that, taking Alabama.

It might be important to note that Corso was actually quite on-point with his headgear picks throughout the 2016 season. So it would stand to reason that he might have one more gem left in him. We shall see, but that’s a little feather in the cap of Bama fans hoping for another title.
