Clemson beat Alabama last night in one of the most thrilling college football national championships ever. One Crimson Tide fan took out his frustration on his TV.
The Clemson Tigers pulled off a thrilling upset of the undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday night.
The two teams met in the final game of the college football season for the second consecutive year. Both affairs lived up to the hype. This year, Tigers avenged their loss from last season with an incredible performance on both sides of the ball.
There were a few times, however, when it looked like Bama had the game won. Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson led his team back each time, making incredible plays while being seemingly impervious to the punishing hits dolled out by the Crimson Tide defense.
All the harrowing plays by the Clemson offense and defense looked to be all for naught as Bama QB Jalen Hurts, who had been struggling to make an impact on the game, ripped of a blistering 30-yard TD run, leaving multiple Clemson defenders in his wake. Watson would have just over two minutes remaining on the clock when he and the Tigers got the ball back.
The Heisman Trophy runner-up would not disappoint. He led his Tigers down the field with clutch throws and timely scrambles. All-universe wideout Mike Williams, who had taken a few big shots from the Alabama secondary, made a huge leaping catch to keep the drive alive. Watson then nearly scored the go-ahead touchdown himself, scrambling down the right sideline and launching himself toward the pylon. He was out at the half-yard line, but would soon find the impressive Hunter Renfrow for the game-winning score.
We all react to things going badly in different ways: anger, denial, shock. One Alabama fan decided to go all Mike Tyson on his TV the second Renfrow caught the touchdown.

This guy is definitely in a fighter’s stance as he curses at Watson while the play unfolds. In a flash of breathtaking anger, he uncorks at punch that completely busts his TV screen. Now, not only did his beloved Tide lose the national championship, he also needs a new television.
