Is Chicago Fire new tonight, January 10?

NBC’s ‘Chicago Fire’ returned last week with a two-hour crossover with ‘Chicago PD.’ Is there a new episode on Tuesday, January 10?

Fans of NBC‘s Chicago Fire were excited to see Season 5 resume last Tuesday with the first One Chicago crossover of 2017. But they’ll have to wait a little bit longer to find out what happens next.

There is not a new episode of Chicago Fire on January 10. The series has been preempted in favor of the midseason premiere of This Is Us.

With NBC covering President Barack Obama’s farewell address earlier on Tuesday evening, the network has limited primetime space to work with and decided to bump Fire instead of This Is Us, which has been one of the biggest hits of the fall TV season.

The episode of Fire scheduled for January 10 will now air on Tuesday, January 17.

It’s set to be a big one. Season 5, Episode 10 is called “The People We Meet” and it focuses on Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) trying to move on after nearly being framed for a car accident that killed a young girl during last week’s crossover.

Severide continues to grow closer to Anna (Charlotte Sullivan), the bone marrow patient he’s been trying to help.

Meanwhile Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund)’s storyline continues as well, while they try to figure out the state of their family after Louie’s biological father failed to show up for his planned first-ever meeting with his son.

So while there’s no Chicago Fire this week, audiences will have a lot to look forward to next week.
