West Virginia Mountaineers

Last week: 10-3 Record

A 10 win season and a lot to be left on the table. For West Virginia, missed opportunities against both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma kept the Mountaineers from playing in the New Year’s Six and even the playoff. Then, after seemingly taking control in the early parts of their bowl game against Miami, they came crashing down to earth. So, what comes next for this team as they see the rest of the Big 12 start to level off in 2016.

West Virginia will have to replace QB Skyler Howard who put up record numbers in his time in Morgantown. While finding his replacement may be a large task, the offense brings back the Big 12 newcomer of the year in Justin Crawford who’s 1,184 yards on the ground were a big boost for the offense. In 2017, Crawford will have to do much more for the Mountaineers to be successful.
