Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney proudly hoisted the National Championship trophy in the air after his team defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Clemson Tigers have done the unthinkable and knocked off the Alabama Crimson Tide on the biggest stage of them all. Deshaun Watson put together an all-time performance and Hunter Renfrow had the catch of his life in the win. It was one of those games that no one will ever forget and how could they? Needless to say Dabo Swinney was full of emotions as his team pulled off the win.

After the game, Swinney got his opportunity to hoist the National Championship trophy in the air. It was a special moment for him after having lost in last year’s big game and with how far his team has come to this point.

Swinney has been on the winning end as a player in his career and his ties to the Alabama program are well known. For his team to come away with the victory and knock off the top team in the nation is something that the program will forever be known for.

There are very few coaches that have had success against the elite coaches in college football like Swinney has had. When Clemson is the underdog, that’s when his teams tend to do their best work and come away with big victories.

An underdog wide receiver caught the winning score and Clemson pulled off the huge win. For Swinney, he just took his place among the coaching legends in college football and will only keep building on it from here.
