Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder put his finger in the face of Washington Wizards guard John Wall after the game and it led to the teams scuffling.

There’s nothing quite like the emotions of a basketball game spilling over after it’s already completed. The Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards are two teams stuck in the middle of a tight Eastern Conference and the two sides clearly aren’t fans of the other. After the Celtics won at home on Wednesday night, forward Jae Crowder went over to have words with John Wall.

Crowder would then put his finger in Wall’s face and that’s when both teams piled up on the floor and had to be separated from each other. Wall would slap his hand away. Players reacted quickly to pull each other away, but it was clear that Wall wasn’t a fan of whatever Crowder had to say.

It apparently didn’t stop on the floor either. After the game, ESPN’s Chris Forsberg reported that uniformed police officers were on hand to separate the two teams while they were in their respective locker rooms.

While the typical basketball scrum doesn’t involve much and ends up on the floor, it’s a bit weird that this one happened after the game and continued on for a while. These two teams want to get the upper hand on the other for playoff seeding and every game counts.

Something like this probably goes past the game and it’s just the beginning of what looks like a little rivalry between the two teams on the court. The next time these two teams meet will be met with much more attention now.

There are several things that will set people off and putting a finger in someone’s face like Crowder did to Wall is probably a good way to do so. Intensity was running high in the NBA on Wednesday night.
