High Salary C

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (9,400): Towns has been lighting teams up to start the New Year and has at least a double-double in nine straight games since his somewhat disappointing 26-8-0 against the Thunder on Christmas Day. Since the calendar flipped to 2017, Towns has three games with at least 55 fantasy points in his last five including big games against Dallas (34-11-4) and Houston (23-18-5) in his two games on the Wolves’ current homestand. Towns will be in a tough matchup with Steven Adams and Enes Kanter, but he looks ready to take his game to the next level. If you have the salary space, he’s a good investment at home tonight.∗∗∗

Hassan Whitside-Miami Heat (8,400): After missing part of the Heat’s West Coast trip with an eye injury, Whiteside looked back to his usual dominant self with a monster game against the Warriors on Tuesday. He had 28-20-2 with two blocks for 61.5 fantasy points in 37 minutes in that contest. He will look to post another big game tonight on the road in Milwaukee. He had 12-17-0 with six blocks against the Bucks when he faced them earlier this season, so he’s a solid play in the middle tonight as well.∗∗∗

Joel Embiid-Philadlephia 76ers (8,100): Embiid had yet another big game on Wednesday with 21-14-1 for 45.5 fantasy points. He has at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he continues to play extremely well even with a minutes cap. He has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game but is considered probable for tonight against the Hornets who have allowed  the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers this season. As long as his ankle isn’t more of an issue than expected, Embiid will be a good play from just over 8K tonight.∗∗∗

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (6,900): Vucevic returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday and had 16-12-4 with two blocks and 43 fantasy points against the Clippers. He has at least 39 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and should stick in the starting lineup moving forward. Vucevic is a multi-category producer when he’s at his best and will get a chance to continue to step up for Orlando as they take on the Blazers in a good matchup for big men tonight.

Al Horford-Boston Celtics (6,800): Hoford returns to Atlanta tonight for the first time as a member of the Celtics who he joined as a free agent this offseason. Horford had 16-9-3 with two blocks and two steals on Wednesday against the Wizards for a solid 39.75 fantasy points. He has at least 35 fantasy points in four of his last six games, and maybe taking on his former team and their new big-man Dwight Howard will motivate him to a big game tonight.
