High Value SG
Eric Gordon-Houston Rockets (5,900): Like Nicolas Batum, Eric Gordon is probable for tonight as the Rockets host Memphis. He sat out the Rockets last two games with a toe injury, but was scorching hot before the injury averaging 20.8-3.2-3.0 and over 30 minutes a game in his previous five contests. Gordon has at least 28 fantasy points in four straight and five of his last six, so he’s worth a look at this price even though returning from injury could lead to limited minutes.∗∗
Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,500): Fournier has been back from his heel injury for four games and was starting to return to form before a rough game on Wednesday against the Clippers. Fournier had 19-5-3 for 29.5 fantasy points on Sunday against the Lakers but only 8-2-2 in a loss to the Clippers where his minutes were limited by foul trouble. He should be well-rested and ready for tonight’s game against the Blazers whose backcourt defense can be sketchy at times. Fournier should be back to 25+ fantasy points tonight if he can stay out of foul trouble, so give him a look if all the injuries and returns make you nervous about the other options around this price range.∗∗∗
Dion Waiters-Miami Heat (4,900): Waiters moved into the starting lineup for Miami in their game at Golden State on Tuesday and he played 38 minutes. He only had 8-3-8 with two steals but his 26.6 fantasy points and heavy workload would seem to be a good sign of things to come. Miami just got Waiters back from injury, but Josh Richardson is out for tonight and Justise Winslow is done for the season leaving plenty of minutes and opportunities for Waiters to step up. Tonight, he takes on the Bucks who are ninth in fantasy points allowed to SG and second in fantasy points allowed to SF. His streaky play still makes him boom-or-bust, but he’s in a great spot to produce tonight for Miami.∗∗∗∗
Tim Hardaway Jr.-Atlanta Hawks (4,500): The Hawks trade of Kyle Korver opened up playing time for Hardaway who has at least 23 fantasy points in each of his last three games and four of his last five. Hardaway only had nine points against the Nets on Tuesday but his 9-2-4 with two blocks and a steal were still enough for 23.4 fantasy points in 22 minutes. Look for Hardaway to get 25+ minutes tonight against Boston and get a chance to produce solid numbers. ∗∗∗
Gerald Henderson-Philadelphia 76ers (3,600): Henderson gets a revenge game tonight as he faces the Hornets. He finished with 12-2-1 and 15.9 fantasy points on Wednesday against the Knicks. He had an even better game with 25.3 fantasy points against Boston last Friday when he had 18-4-1 in 29 minutes. He’s worth a look if you decide to go with a flier at this spot since he does get the minutes and should be motivated to take it to the Hornets.∗
Darrun Hilliard-Detroit Pistons (3,500): Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left last night’s game in Golden State with a shoulder injury and could miss tonight’s game in Utah. Hilliard would likely pick up playing time if KCP is out after playing 26 minutes last night and finishing with 6-1-3 for 10.7 fantasy points. He is a flier tonight against the Jazz with some upside if he gets the start. ∗
