The Florida State Seminoles face the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday, Jan. 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The North Carolina Tar Heels look like a team capable of making it back to the Final Four after their heartbreaking National Championship loss a season ago. However, the Florida State Seminoles look like a dark-horse to get there this season as well. Having already upset the Duke Blue Devils this week, the Noles head to the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday, Jan. 14 to try and go 2-for-2 against Tobacco Road opponents.
Justin Jackson has been the player that North Carolina hoped he’d be the past two seasons through January. He’s hitting from the outside and, along with Joel Berry, has helped lead the way for the Tar Heels. Against Florida State, though, they’ll need the likes of the returning Theo Pinson and big men Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Hicks to step up.
Meanwhile, Florida State’s success this year has been both shocking and impressive. Dwayne Bacon has been a revelation and will need to avoid a letdown against North Carolina. To take down the Tar Heels, they’ll also need a big effort from Jonathan Isaac and more scoring from Xavier Rathan-Mayes on Saturday.
Saturday’s game will be broadcast on ESPN, which means that you can stream the action online on WatchESPN. Access the stream and service online or through the ESPN app using a cable or satellite subscription to log in.

The Tar Heels watched their rivals, Duke, fall handily to the Seminoles earlier in the week. While that might be to the detriment of FSU, North Carolina now knows that they have to be on their toes. Regardless, this should be a fun one going down in the Dean Dome to start the weekend.
