The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly trying to bring Peyton Manning in as their head of football operations.
Ever since Peyton Manning retired from the NFL, there has been plenty of speculation about what he will do next. With an incredible career in the books and plenty of opportunities for him out there, Manning can do just about anything he probably wants to. However, the most popular guess has always been that he would work in an executive role in the NFL similar to that of John Elway and the Denver Broncos.
It appears that those guesses could be coming to Fruition. On Saturday, reports began to circulate that Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was trying to bring Manning back as head of football operations. Jay Glazer reported it on FOX and Bob Kravitz of WTHR was able to confirm the report on Twitter.
WTHR can confirm that the Colts have spoken to Peyton Manning about a front office job with team. Told it's still a fluid situation.

If Manning does indeed decide to come back to the Colts, it would be an exciting move for the franchise. He helped bring them their first Super Bowl in Indianapolis and he’s the most popular player in franchise history.
He’s also a smart guy that knows the game from his Hall of Fame career and seeing him help build a team will be fun to watch. He probably has guys in place that he would try to put in place and could provide a great deal of mentoring to Andrew Luck.
It would be fitting that Manning would help build a team around Luck after the latter took over him. The young quarterback had arguably the best year of his career this season despite the Colts struggling. If Manning indeed comes back to the game then it will be a major win for all football fans.
