Swansea face Arsenal at Liberty Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
To say that Arsenal and Swansea are experiencing two vastly different Premier League campaigns would be putting it lightly. On the one hand, Arsenal have remained in the hunt in the top-four for much of the 2016-17 season. Meanwhile, the struggling Swans have found themselves in a relegation battle since the campaign began. Now they’ll clash on Saturday, Jan. 14 for Match Day 21 at Liberty Stadium.
Arsenal have experienced an interesting start to the new year as they haven’t looked in top form. On New Year’s Day, the Gunners opened with a 2-0 victory to get three points from Crystal Palace. However, they followed that up with a shouldn’t-have-been-but-still-was-thrilling 3-3 draw with Bournemouth. After falling behind by three goals initially, they found their rhythm and clawed back, finally pulling level in injury time thanks to Olivier Giroud. He and Alexis Sanchez will need to be in top form to keep Arsenal competitive atop the table.
Then there’s Swansea, already on their third manager of the 2016-17 campaign. Bob Bradley clearly wasn’t working and the move to sack him has already seemingly paid dividends. The Swans picked up three points in their first match of 2017 with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. It looked as if the Welsh side might get some help in the form of Michy Batshuayi via loan from Chelsea, but now even that has ended in disappointment. They’ll need Gylfi Sigurdsson and the likes of Leroy Fer to really step up if they’re to fight out of the relegation zone—and if they’re to knock off Arsenal.
Saturday’s match will be broadcast on NBCSN, which means that live streaming will be available through NBC Sports Live. Access the service online or through the NBC Sports app using a cable or satellite subscription to log in.
