Tom Brady threw an interception for the first time in 109 passes against the Texans in a playoff matchup.

Many people have been led to believe that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is invincible. He will certainly go down as one of the all-time great quarterbacks, but even Brady is prone to rare mishaps.

The Houston Texans came up with an interception as cornerback A.J. Bouye took advantage of a tipped pass. Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd let the pass sail through his hands until it hit the tip of his fingers. Here is a video of the Texans coming up with this turnover.

With this interception, the Texans began their quest in making a serious bid to upset the Patriots as 15.5-point underdogs. They currently trail the AFC East behemoths, 14-13, in the second quarter.

Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler was unable to guide his team to the end zone on this drive. Even after receiving favorable field position, the Texans were forced to settle for Nick Novak’s second field goal.

The Texans defense will look to continue neutralizing Brady, but their special teams will need to put a significant blunder behind them. Running back Dion Lewis scored his second touchdown of the night on a 98-yard kickoff return. He previously caught a 13-yard pass from Brady for the first score of the game.

However, Lewis proved to be human after losing a fumble on his latest kickoff return. The Texans took advantage of their second turnover with a touchdown. Osweiler threw a short pass to tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz, who was wide open in the end zone. It remains to be seen whether the Texans can continue to scare the Patriots even as heavy underdogs.
