Watch The Young Pope series premiere online

This Sunday, January 15th, HBO’s next big series kicks off with its highly anticipated series premiere. Starring Jude Law and Diane Keaton, The Young Pope will be a must-watch series, and here is where you can find it online to stream.

HBO has always been ahead of the curve in terms of creating and developing interesting TV series every single year. This type of innovative thinking is no more evident than in it’s new series, The Young Pope. What initially began as a mini-series for the network, it looks as though The Young Pope has become a full-fledged series, as it has already been renewed for a second season.

The story follows Pope Pius Xlll (Law), born Lenny Belardo, a newly elected pope who previously served as the Archbishop of New York. From the trailers we have been shown, and from early reviews, Lenny is nothing if not eager to begin his new role of power. He’s brash, spiteful, unflinching and quite strange it seems, who could make for another iconic HBO character to add to many great characters of past shows.

Lenny is accompanied by Sister Mary (Keaton), a nun who helped raise him in a New York orphanage after his parents passed away, and who will be mentoring him from inside the Vatican. The cast is rounded out by some other notable names such as James Cromwell, Scott Shepherd, Silvio Orlando, and Javier Camara.

The show was created directed by Paolo Sorrentino, an Academy Award-winning director and screenwriter, and much of the show was actually filmed on location in Rome, Italy.

Reviews so far have been pretty great across the board, according to Rotten Tomatoes, with Law”s performance, in particular, receiving rave reviews.
