High Value C
Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (5,700): Valanciunas has double-digit rebounds in five straight and has at least 33 fantasy points in four of those five contests. His best game during his current run came last week against Boston when he had 18-12-0 for 50.75 fantasy points. He did burn his owners this past Tuesday, though, with 7-10-0 for just 19 fantasy points. Even with his boom-or-bust tendencies, Valanciunas makes a good play tonight under 6K against the Hornets who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers over their last five games.∗∗∗∗
Montrezl Harrell-Houston Rockets (4,900): With Clint Capela back, Harrell’s playing time is hard to predict, but he has continued to find ways to contribute. With Ryan Anderson out and Capela coming off the bench, Harrell started on Wednesday and posted a massive 37 fantasy points on 12-8-4 and five blocks. He has the energy and slightly smaller size that should work against the small-ball Warriors. Harrell comes into his matchup with Draymond Green having scored in double-digits in six of his last seven and with 30+ fantasy points in four of his those seven contests. He would seem to have earned a role in the rotation with his strong play over the last month, but the situation is still in flux so there’s more risk than normal.∗∗
Robin Lopez-Chicago Bulls (4,400): If you have to spend under 5K, Robin Lopez is the way I would go since he has posted at least 22 fantasy points in five straight and at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last there games. He had 21-5-0 against the Mavericks on Tuesday, and should be in for plenty of work tonight against the Hawks and Dwight Howard.∗∗∗
John Henson-Milwaukee Bucks (3,500): Henson has lost playing time lately with Greg Monroe’s resurgence into the rotation. He still has managed 13+ fantasy points in five straight contests, though, and gets enough time to be the best “punt” play tonight if you decide to mail in your center spot to stock up elsewhere.∗
