NBA Rumors: Bulls might sign Chris Bosh once Heat release him
By Jason Parker
The Chicago Bulls may be in the market for forward Chris Bosh once he is released from the Miami Heat – and cleared from recent blood clot issues.
It’s no secret that the Miami Heat are having a bad season. The team might like to use the word ‘rebuilding’, but either way, they will be drafting high next time around. One of the main reasons is the absence of forward Chris Bosh, who has been sidelined since the team won’t clear him after blood clot issues the last two seasons.
Since it appears that Bosh will never take the floor as a member of the Heat ever again, the 13-year NBA veteran is still looking to get back on the floor as he believes he is medically fine to play again. According to one NBA insider from ESPN, Mark Stein, there may already be one team ready to sign the big man:
"If Bosh, who turns 33 in March, makes it back onto the floor next season, word is that the Chicago Bulls are already plotting a run and will be at the front of the line to try to sign him."
The Heat are likely going to wait until March 1st to finally give Bosh his walking papers, thus keeping him from signing with a team this season and be eligible to be on a roster for the postseason. Signing with the Bulls would also be a reunion with guard Dwyane Wade, who he played with for six seasons and won two NBA titles with.

Of course, the number one issue is Bosh’s health. It doesn’t take a doctor to realize that two straight bouts with something serious like blood clots is nothing to be causal about. If he can be cleared by the Bulls or any other team, they will be getting a big body who still likely has three or four season left and brings a championship resume with him.
